Pinckney Hugo Group Team Member Completes the Gifford Foundation’s Nourishing Tomorrow’s Leaders Program

SYRACUSE, N.Y.Rebecca Scott, account director at Pinckney Hugo Group, a full-service marketing communications firm, has completed the Nourishing Tomorrow’s Leaders program offered through the Gifford Foundation in Syracuse. This eight-week course is taught by community leaders and focuses on leadership development and increasing the pool of diverse nonprofit board members in Central New York.

Tailored for individuals with a desire to emphasize inclusiveness and diversity in communities, the Nourishing Tomorrow’s Leaders program consists of a series of workshops designed to provide an overview of how board members can add value and establish necessary leadership connections in organizations. Developed with the assistance of residents and prominent local partners like Leadership Greater Syracuse, the Human Services Leadership Council and the Central New York Community Foundation, the program highlights those in the community wishing to learn more about equality through board service. The Nourishing Tomorrow’s Leaders program was established in 2014 and has since graduated over 100 individuals from this extensive training series.

Scott was referred to the Nourishing Tomorrow’s Leaders program and selected from a pool of applicants. Scott’s active participation in this program exemplifies her desire to join the established network in Central New York committed to educating and inspiring others about inclusion and diversity in the workplace. Scott has worked at Pinckney Hugo Group for over five years. She has a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a dual degree in psychology.
