SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Pinckney Hugo Group, a full-service marketing communications firm, was recognized as an “Economic Champion of Central New York” by the CenterState Corp. for Economic Opportunity. This is the 16th year that the agency has received the distinction.
Since its inception in 2002, Pinckney Hugo Group has grown organically from five to nearly 100 employees. The agency continues to grow by supplementing its local business through partnering with out-of-the-region clients to provide work for its team. To support its continued growth over the past year, the agency added team members and made significant investments in technology.
In the past year, Pinckney Hugo Group received national awards and continued to amplify its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, including the PHG Voices Matter Committee coordinating employee events and regularly sharing educational resources. The agency also sponsored and helped organize the 100 Black Men of Syracuse’s annual golf tournament for a third year, which helped raise over $75,000 for youth scholarships.
At its Economic Champions celebration on Oct. 29, CenterState CEO celebrated the region’s outstanding businesses and organizations for driving the economy forward in the past year. Companies were recognized for adding new jobs, establishing new businesses, expanding their operations, reaching significant milestones and achievements, making capital investments due to growth, and engaging in diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Companies were nominated as Economic Champions for their accomplishments by peers, employees and staff.
