Job Description

PHG is looking for a talented Account Director to join its growing team in its Syracuse and/or Rochester, NY office. The account director role is the lead on the account management team while helping some of the largest international clients plan and execute their marketing strategies. Our team has grown from 5 to 80+ marketers over the last 15 years, and our client base has a great blend of regional and national B2B and B2C accounts. Amidst a highly creative work space, our culture is open, engaging, collaborative and rewarding. If you have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with an agency and a background in marketing, we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Is the keeper of a brand
  • Oversees all direct reports and approves their contributions
  • Ensures that the strategic goals of the account are communicated to the organization and met
  • Oversees the day-to-day client deliverables
  • Is intimately familiar with the client’s business and marketing objectives
  • Knows client’s bigger competitive environment
  • Responsible for supporting leadership within the team
  • Financially responsible for all team cots
  • Sets quality standards for the team and enforces adherence
  • Fosters innovative solutions
  • Identifies short-term and long-term opportunities
  • Manages training and development for all team members
  • Keeps abreast of current trends and the latest technological advances
  • Aggressively pursues new ways to contribute to overall agency and client profitability
  • Accountable for maintaining client satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is on strategy, on time, and on budget
  • Sets group goals to maximize team effectiveness

Skills/Qualifications

  • Must be an industry leader with highly visible profile with 5+ years of experience within an advertising agency setting
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to foster optimal relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Team builder
  • Strong problem-solving skills and detail oriented
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, MBA or equivalent business experience required
