Sr Accounting Specialist

Description

Are you good with numbers? Like make-a-career-out-of -it good? If so, we’ve got a spot for you on our team. As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you’ll analyze and strategize to make things around this place run as efficiently and productively as possible. In this role, you will be responsible for billing, cost analysis and reporting as well as assisting with financial statements and resource management. And that’s just a starting point. There’s always plenty of room for you to grow within the department and the agency overall – and we can’t wait to see you do exactly that.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related degree)
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience
  • Marketing agency experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Advantage software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all monthly client production billing including invoicing, review open jobs, track expenses and upload client invoices to platforms
  • Job cost analysis
  • Follow up with account managers to ensure all client expenses have been captured
  • Provide reports to account managers as requested including job cost reports, client analysis and media profitability
  • Provide reports to partners including billable hours, client profitability, deferred revenue and visibility to all open jobs
  • Supervise media billing and payables
  • Credit card reconciliations, trend analysis, cash management, journal entries and ad hoc projects

Skills/Qualifications

  • Ability to advance and lead department and gain exposure across marketing agency functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Thorough understanding of financial statements, reconciling accounts and credit cards
  • Ability to communicate with team members in a highly collaborative environment
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet required deadlines
